Step 3: For doing the same, press and hold Volume up key + Power button simultaneously until the recovery mode appears.

Step 4: As soon as you enter TWRP custom recovery, the first thing you need to do is take Nandroid backup. Refer our guide:
Step 5: After taking backup, click on the Install option from the recovery.
This will show you all your files and folders present on your mobile.
Step 6: Navigate to the downloaded Magisk.zip file and select it.
Step 7: On the next screen, swipe right to start the process of rooting Honor 8c.
As soon as the rooting completes, a message saying Successful will appear at the top of the TWRP recovery.
Step 8: Select the Reboot System option to restart your mobile.
