The given firmware update of flashing the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean DUUGNA4 firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S3 is too risky and even a single mistake can brick your phone. So read, follow and attempt each and every step carefully and at your own risk. If by mistake your mobile gets bricked or any damage happens to your device by following this article, then neither we nor Samsung Electronics Ltd. are responsible for that. However it is very unlikely that your device will get damaged or crashed but still I strongly recommend you to follow all the instructions correctly as they are mentioned below. Don’t try to implement anything by your own. Also you must note that this Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean DUUGNA4 firmware is released only for Samsung Galaxy S3 having the model number GT-I9300T. Don’t even think to implement this firmware update on any other device or variant, it may result into unwanted outcomes or bricked device. So it is better that you verify your device model number from Homescreen–> Menu–>Settings –> About Phone before proceeding further.
- Battery power must be checked before moving ahead. Lack of battery power may increase the risk of interruption during the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean I9300IDDUANE1 firmware flashing process. I recommend to charge your mobile at least up to 60% so as to avoid any further problems. You may install apps like Battery Notifier to check it easily.
- Make a complete backup all your important data and settings including contacts, sms/mms, apn settings, call logs, whatsapp messages, memos etc. to external storage or on your PC. This is highly recommended as in the last step of this procedure we need to wipe all the data and cache currently present on your phone memory. Remember that once you flash this firmware you’ll not be able to get your data back, so don’t ignore this step.
- Ensure that you’ve enabled the USB debugging mode on your phone. If not, then do so by following the path Menu->Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging.
- Install mobile specific drivers on your PC so as to detect the phone when you connect it to PC. You can install them from the Samsung Kies CD which you’ve got at the time of purchase or just manually install them from link given below.
- You must disable all the security tools as well as antivirus that are installed on your PC temporarily. They may interrupt the process.

Also an Added message will appear in the message window. This will confirm that your device has been connected successfully to your PC. But if it doesn’t turn blue then it’s more likely to be problem with the device drivers. So check whether you’ve properly installed device specific drivers on your PC or not. As stated in Pre-Requisites you can install them via Samsung Kies or manually install them from the links given above.
Step 6: Now, tick against ‘AP’ button and navigate to the tar.md5 file from the firmware package & select it (The firmware file will look something like: I9300TDUUGNA4_I9300TVAUGNA2_VA.tar.md5). Wait till Odin verifies the md5 hash. If it’s successful then there won’t be any warning message.
Step 7: Tick the Auto Reboot option and F.Reset option located on the Odin window. Do not tick or un-tick any other option. Remember that ticking Re-partition option may brick your phone. Don’t ignore these crucial precautions before going ahead.
Step 8: After attempting everything as mentioned, initiate the process by pressing on the Start button present on the Odin window. You’ll notice that your phone automatically reboots itself while going through the process. Make sure that you won’t remove the USB cable until the process completes, as this may interrupt it.
Step 9: Be patient until the process completes. It will hardly last for few minutes.
