  21. Hey Abhijeet

When I restart my Ace in downloading, the screen only shows “Downloading” in yellow font and it does not look the way it appears in your tutorial. It may be a problem because my Windows 8.1 flashes an error saying the “device is not recognized” . Since it does not recognize my phone, I cannot go any further. Normally, Windows 8.1 accepts the device without any error. Am I doing something wrong? I already have Kies installed on my PC. So I assume I have all the latest drivers too on the computer. Or do I need any special drivers to make Windows 8.1 recognize my Ace in downloading mode as well?

    Reply
      • Thanx Abhijeet. But you missed the point of Windows 8.1 refusing to recognizing the phone as soon as it is put in downloading mode. Samsung drivers for the phone seem to be installed, but unless PC accepts the cell in download mode, the upgradation is not possible.

        Thanx Again
