Pre-Requisites:
  • The battery life of your Galaxy S duos must be checked before starting the flashing process. This is necessary as low battery life may increase the risk of interruption when the flashing process is going on. So I recommend all the users to charge the battery of your phone at least upto 60%.
  • The most important thing before doing any flashing process is Backup. Backup your entire data and settings including contacts, sms/mms, apn settings, call logs, memos etc. on SD card or you may copy them on PC for more safety. Don’t ignore this as in the last step of this procedure you need to wipe all the data and cache currently present on your phone memory so you’ll not be able to get back your data once you flash the firmware.
  • Enable USB debugging mode on your Phone by following the path Menu->Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging.
  • For properly detecting the phone by your PC it is must that you install mobile specific drivers on your PC.  This will easily detect the phone when you connect it to PC. You can install them from the Samsung Kies CD which you’ve got at the time of purchase. Or just manually install them from link given below.
  1. Download latest Samsung USB Drivers.
  • You must disable all the security tools as well as antivirus that are installed on your PC temporarily. They may increase the risk of interruption during the flashing process.
