Step 3: Power off your Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 completely.
Step 4: Boot the tablet into custom recovery mode. For doing so, press and hold Volume up key + Power button till you land into recovery mode.
Note: Touch won’t work in recovery mode. So use Home button to navigate up and down and use Search button for selection.

Step 5: After taking Nandroid backup, let’s wipe data and cache partitions. For that, navigate to the ‘wipe data/factory reset’ option using Home key and select it using Search button. On the next screen press Yes option to start the wiping process. Similarly navigate to the ‘wipe cache partition’ option to wipe the caches.
Note: This step will clear entire data from your tablets internal memory. So make sure that you have backed up everything before implementing this step.
Step 6: Go back to the main menu and select the Advanced option. On the next page, select Reboot Recovery option.
This will restart your tablet back into recovery mode.
Step 7: Let’s flash the CM 13 ROM now. For doing so, click on ‘install zip from SD card’ option. Select it using Search button. On the next page, select ‘choose zip from SD card’ option. This will show you the files present on your tablet. Just navigate to the downloaded CM 13 ROM. Select it using Search button. On the next page, select ‘Yes’ option to start the installation process.
Be patient and wait until the ROM installation process completes. As soon as the process finishes, a successful message will appear on the screen.
Step 8: Similarly flash the Google Apps (containing Google Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps etc. ) as you’ve installed the ROM.
Step 9: After performing every step as given above, just restart your Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 by selecting reboot option from the recovery mode.
Note: The first boot will take more time to start than usual.
