Steps to update Samsung Galaxy Core i8262 to Android 4.1.2 firmware:

Step 1: Extract the files in a specific folder on the PC.

Step 2: Now switch off your Galaxy Core.

Step 3: Enter into downloading mode now. For that, press and hold ‘Home Button + Volume down key + Power Button’ simultaneously until you see a warning message. Press Volume Up to continue. This will directly land you into download mode.

Step 4:  Connect it to PC using USB cable.

Step 5: Now launch ‘Odin Multi Downloader v3.09′ software. As soon as you open it, the ID: COM section of Odin will turn blue. Also, an Added message will appear in the message box window.

Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen then install USB drivers.

Step 6: Now, tick against the ‘AP’ button and navigate to the tar.md5 file from the firmware package & select it (The firmware file will look something like: I8262XXBNC1_I8262ODDNC1_INS.zi.tar.md5).

Step 7: Tick the Auto Reboot option and F.Reset option located on the Odin window.

Step 8: After attempting everything as mentioned above, start the process by clicking on the Start button present on the Odin window. Your phone will automatically reboot itself when the process goes on. Do not remove the USB cable until the process completes, as this may interrupt it.

Step 9: As soon as it completes, you’ll see that the ID: COM section on the Odin window is turned green with the message ‘Pass’ below it. You may now disconnect your phone by safely removing the USB cable.

Note: If the process fails, then close the Odin window. Again go into downloading mode and repeat everything.

Step 10: Boot the device into recovery mode now. For that, hold Volume Up key + Home button (Middle button) + Power button simultaneously until the recovery mode appears.

Step 11: In the recovery mode, navigate to the ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ option followed by the ‘Wipe Cache partition’ option & select them to clear all the data and caches from your phone memory.

Step 12: Then go back to the main menu and restart the phone by selecting the ‘reboot system now’ option.

    • There is no Official firmware yet available for this phone beyond Android 4.1.2..Still if you want Android 4.3 JB try flashing custom ROMs..

  3. my phone has a problem. when I reboot my cell it takes about 3-4 minutes and shows “android is upgrading. .. starting apps”. also there are some apps like time service, measure, adob air etc. I have booted my cell and uninstall them. but they appear again. I have used factory reset; but not worked. they slow down my cell. anyhow if I freeze those apps then I can use my cell freely but sometimes they unfreeze automatically. what should I do. Please help… if I upgrade my Android version to kitkat or lollipop will it be helpful??
