- Charge your phone to at least 50%.
- Backup your important phone data and settings.
- Moreover, backup EFS folder present in your phones system directory.
- Install the latest Samsung USB drivers on your PC.
- Root and install CWM or TWRP on your device.
Steps to update Galaxy Exhibit T679 to CM11 ROM:
- Download both the package files in a specific folder on your PC. Then connect your Galaxy Exhibit 4G to PC using USB cable and copy both these files on your phones SD card.

On the next page select ‘Yes’ option to start the actual flashing process. Wait for the process to complete successfully.
- Then again select ‘wipe data/factory reset’ option followed by ‘wipe cache partition’ option on the recovery mode to clear all phones data & cache. This step will help to solve the boot loop issue.
- Now similarly flash the GApps zip file as you’ve installed the custom ROM. Just remember not to wipe data after that.
- Just restart your Galaxy Exhibit 4G now by selecting ‘reboot system now’ option from the recovery mode. Remember that the first boot will take more time to start than usual.
- If you want to restore back your previous Rom, then you can do that by going back to the recovery mode by pressing & holding Volume up + Home Button (middle button) + Power Button simultaneously and select ‘Backup and Restore’ option and then on next page select ‘Restore’ option.
