Design and Display

When it comes to looks, this Moto G device reminds you of the flagship Moto Edge. Compared to the predecessor, it comes with a lot of changes. It sports a fabulous 21:9 aspect ratio for the 6.7-inch screen. In addition, it comes with a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. At the front, the mobile features a full HD display with two hole-punch cameras. With no notch, the device gives an uninterrupted viewing experience.

Besides, it measures 168 x 74 x 9mm with 207 grams of weight. The biggest change in this smartphone is the relocated fingerprint sensor. It is moved to the right-hand edge of the mobile, below the volume rocker. That means it is a combination of a fingerprint sensor as well as the power button. Talking about the Moto G 5G Plus colors, it is currently available in Purple and Blue.

Camera

Despite being an affordable device, Moto G 5G Plus features a whopping six cameras. On the rear, it has a quad-camera setup in a square shape. To be specific, it packs 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 5-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

With such amazing Moto G 5G Plus specs, this phone is best for photography. It can give a tough competition to OnePlus Nord. Moreover, it also comes with a 4K@30fps and 1080p@30/60fps of video recording. Whereas, on the front, it packs a 16-megapixel primary camera with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

Software and Performance

This device runs the Google official Android 10 operating system with no custom UI. The most important update is that the company has confirmed to release an official Android 11 update for Moto G.

Hardware

It is powered by Qualcomm SDM765 Snapdragon 765G chipset, which is quite advanced for this cheap phone. Due to the latest processor, this device can easily handle all the high-end Android games. There is no doubt that Moto G 5G Plus is the best budget gaming phone in 2020. On the contrary, it is available in two variants viz. Moto G 5G Plus 64GB 4GB RAM and 128GB 6GB RAM.

Usually, there is no NFC support for the Motorola G series smartphones.
