- In order to avoid any interruption, charge your Samsung phone at least 50%.
- Backup your contacts, apps, messages, call logs, notes etc. This is strongly recommended as everything gets wiped out in this firmware flashing process.
- Also backup EFS folder present in system directory. This folder contains IMEI, wireless devices MAC addresses, and product code etc. If this folder gets deleted, then your device will not be recognized by carrier.
- This method requires root access. So make sure that your Samsung mobile is rooted before moving further.
Steps to Install Samsung Firmware without ODIN:
Step 5: Go in your phone Settings.
Step 6: Open Date & Time section.
Step 7: Turn off Automatic Date & Time option.
Step 8: Now set year to 2013.
Step 9: Close everything and launch the Flashfire app.
Step 10: Click on Grant to access root permissions for the app.
It will take few seconds to grant root access.
Step 11: Read the disclaimer and click on Agree.
As soon as you click on Agree, the main screen of Flashfire will appear as shown below.
Step 12: At first, it is recommended to create a complete backup of your system. For doing so, click on the ‘+’ icon.
Step 13: Then click on Backup option.
Step 14: The following list of backup options will appear. Click on Normal Backup option.
Here, you can select the location to save the system backup file.
Step 15: Now click on ✓ icon present on the top right corner.
Similarly, it is essential to wipe data and dalvik cache partitions.
Step 16: So click on the ‘+’ icon and select Wipe option.
Step 17: On the next screen, select System data, 3rd party apps and Dalvik cache option.
Step 18: Click on the ✓ icon now.
Note: Do not tick any other options as it might brick your device.
Step 19: Let’s open the Stock ROM file now. So click on the ‘+’ icon and select Flash firmware package option.
This will show all the files and folders present on your phone.
Step 20: Simply select the downloaded Samsung Stock firmware file.
The scanning archive will start now.
Step 21: After the scanning completes, the following screen will popup. Tick all the partition as shown below. Then click on ✓ icon.
Step 22: A warning message will popup. Click on Yes option.
Step 23: Click on EverRoot option as shown below.
Step 24: On the next screen, click on Inject SuperSU option.
Note: This option will keep root access on your device.
Step 25: Then click on the ✓ icon.
Step 26: Next click on Reboot option.
Step 27: On the next screen, enable the Preserve Recovery option.
After implementing everything as mentioned above, we’ll start the installation process of Samsung firmware without Odin.
Step 28: For doing the same, simply click on the Flash icon as shown below.
Step 29: Then click on OK to actually begin the firmware flashing process.
Note: As the process goes on, your device will reboot itself automatically.
Step 30: As soon as the flashing completes, boot your Samsung phone into recovery mode.
Step 31: Then wipe data and cache partitions from the recovery.
